Hotel Conservatorium
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Architectural firm: Piero Lissoni
The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, located in the cultural heart of the city, represents a perfect balance between history and modernity. Once a 19th-century music conservatory, the building has been masterfully renovated by Piero Lissoni, who has skillfully enhanced its original charm by blending it with contemporary design, playing on contrasts of light, materials, and colors.
Every space is meticulously designed, with a careful selection of materials aimed at enhancing the warmth and authenticity of the historic areas. The inclusion of large windows floods the interiors with natural light, making them airy and livable. This dialogue between past and present is also reflected in the functionality of the spaces: the custom solutions created for the wellness area offer a luxurious and rejuvenating experience.
Rexa was commissioned to create the bathrooms in the prestigious 129 suites of the hotel, where the chosen materials integrate perfectly with the structure of the rooms.
