O_O freestanding won the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2022
The award ceremony for the 2022 BIG SEE Product Design Award was held on 27 October 2022, in the fascinating setting of Ljubljana Castle, Slovenia.
The BIG SEE creative platform explores, evaluates, exposes and promotes the commercial and creative excellence of South Eastern Europe, bringing together 21 Countries and representing a unique forum for the discussion and development of the cultural, economic and political role of this area of the planet.
During the award ceremony, participants appreciated the careful selection of the winning projects, including the O_O freestanding washbasin, which marked the beginning of the collaboration between Bartoli Design and Rexa.

"This award allowed me to discover, in addition to our O_O basin, a
careful and interesting selection of products of designers and companies that
the BIG SEE jury has valued, also bringing out little-known realities. In my
opinion the purpose of the award was fully achieved, all in a highly creative
and dynamic context".
The motivation of the O_O washbasin award fits perfectly: if "daring is to temporarily lose balance, the O_O freestanding washbasin, designed by Bartoli Design for Rexa, dares to perfection and receives the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2022".

In O_O freestanding, the cylinders of the base and the tank, despite having different proportions, combine in an absolute formal balance, in a balance of overhangs and volumes with sculptural relevance that gives life to an object with simple and legible geometric shapes.
A geometric composition studied to the millimeter in which the tank, strongly projecting from the base, shows a kind of suspended balance, allowing to create the seat for the tap on the base, or to create a small support surface, when the tap is placed on the wall or floor.
The washbasin is available in Corian, Marquinia and Carrara marble, treated with Acid Shield: a revolutionary protective system designed against acidic agents, dyes and greases, which, forming a real invisible shield satin to the touch, protects from stains, halos, streaks and loss of hue and shine, without altering the natural chromatic qualities of the stone.
